Peanut Chutney

Peanut/Groundnut/Verkadalai Chutney

It is a dip that is served with almost all the Indian Tiffin items, goes well with Idly /Dosai/Pongal.


To Grind:

  • Roasted peanuts -Half  Cup
  • Coconut-Half cup
  • Green Chilly-4 (adjust as per your spice level)
  • Ginger-half inch
  • Tamarind-Blueberry size
  • Salt-As per taste
Grind the above ingredients adding little water , make it to the Chutney consistency.

For Tempering:
  • Oil-1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds, split urad dal, and curry leaves

Add the tempered  mustard seeds, split urad dal, and curry leaves  to the ground chutney, mix well and serve with Idly/Dosa/Pongal.
